Poverello Center Volunteer Application

For over 40 years, the Poverello Center has provided a necessary safety net for our community members living in hunger and homelessness. An award winning non-profit organization, the Poverello Center provides education, advocacy, and a multitude of services to improve the health, well-being, and stability of people struggling with poverty in Missoula.

Please fill out the following information. You will be contacted by the Volunteer Coordinator about your application. If deemed a good fit for the Poverello Center, the Volunteer Coordinator will assist you with scheduling an orientation prior to volunteering. Please include an EMAIL ADDRESS in which you can be contacted.

If you need to volunteer immediately for court appointed community service hours, please contact the Community Service Program at (406) 541-9200, as the Poverello Center only takes community service placements through this program.

40 Percent of our shelter Guests have income but struggle to find housing in Missoula's competitive market.
We receive $800,000 worth of donated food per year, allowing our commercial soup kitchen to serve nutrient rich, fresh meals for a cost of less $1 per person.
We simply could not operate without community support. Volunteers provide nearly 9,000 hours of service each year, a value of $200,000.
$16.44 provides a warm night of shelter and three hot meals to a homeless neighbor.
